Sites worth visiting around Prades and Montsant

Montsant:

Take a stroll around the emblematic Poblet monastery. Building started here in the 12th Century. This is a monument that combines monastic (e.g. the cloisters) with civil (Palau del Rei Martí) and military elements (walls and gates). It also has an interesting archaeology and art museum.

The village of Siurana is a small, medieval-style village perched dramatically on top of cliffs with the ruins of an old Moorish castle and a Romanesque church.

The wines of Priorat, once forgotten, are now world famous. The most renowned are full-bodied red wines reflecting the special nature of the land that produces them.

Walk along the River Montsant from les Cadolles to the Hermitage of Sant Bartomeu, near Ulldemolins. Combine tranquillity, scenery, nature and maybe even take a dip!

Visit the picturesque villages of Vilella Alta and Vilella Baixa.
