Birding in Peña Oroel and San Juan de la Peña

This is a deservedly popular birding route, and a regular port of call for birders on their way to or from the Pyrenees. Here the key species most of them are looking for are Citril Finch, Black Woodpecker and Lammergeier, although the monasteries, rock faces, forests and spectacular views are unlikely to leave anyone indifferent.
